Days 1 to 5 · Kyoto · 4 nights
Settle into Kyoto before exploring its gardens, temple precincts and traditional streets with a guide. A tea ceremony or craft encounter brings a more personal perspective, while a free afternoon gives you room to find your own rhythm. We plan visits around the season and quieter times where practical.
Days 5 to 8 · Kinosaki Onsen · 3 nights
Continue by rail to Kinosaki Onsen and slow down among willow lined canals and traditional bathhouses. Enjoy ryokan hospitality, regional cuisine and gentle walks through town. Public bathing customs, tattoo policies and private bathing preferences are discussed in advance so the experience suits you.
Days 8 to 12 · Tottori area · 4 nights
Continue to the Tottori area for four nights of a different Japan. Explore the sand dunes at a comfortable time of day, with walking adapted to the terrain and weather. Consider the Sand Museum, coastal viewpoints and an outing along the Uradome Coast. A seasonal boat trip may be proposed when sea conditions permit, with a quieter day for bathing or local discoveries.
Days 12 to 14 · Osaka · 2 nights
Return to Osaka for two nights of city comfort. Choose a guided food introduction or a neighbourhood walk, followed by time for shopping, contemporary culture or a relaxed final dinner. The journey concludes with ground departure arrangements on day 14, coordinated around travel you book independently.
